Serving Up The Message Buffet Style
The key to great marketing is serving up information in a variety of ways, particularly when you have something to shout about. Case in point, the message we posted along Vashon Highway for the thousands of daily commuters to see on behalf of our client, Vashon Island School District.
Just as investment advisers tout the importance of a diversified portfolio, we know that the way people best receive information is as varied as each individual. And, to get a message out to the most people possible, you need to reach them via a network of communication vehicles: newsletter, newsprint, social media, website, but how else? In this case, how about a reader board that thousands drive by each day?
We whittled down the message, backed it up with detailed stories in traditional marketing mediums and boosted it on social media. Turns out, a lot of people got the message. As one community member said, not only did he read the sign he, “…appreciated the interruption.” The value of the message? When the Vashon Island Schools Foundation makes its fundraising calls, we hope potential donors will remember that their support is helping to place Vashon on top ten lists.
